Lanzarote Apartments in Costa Teguise

Lanzarote apartments in Costa TeguiseI’ve decided to make a list of which conditions must have a complex of Lanzarote Apartments in Costa Teguise to be just what a client needs when visits the island.

Then I methodically analyzed some of the most traditional ones finding that just two of them really can fulfill the espectations of a family or individual wanting to rent the ideal holiday apartment in Lanzarote.

Costa Teguise has its own characteristics as an island location wich have particular needs that renting in other places can not have and viceversa.

If you rent a holiday apartment in Costa Teguise you will need to be close to the beach of course (if not why will you visit our wonderful island?)

So extracting the ones far from beaches from my list, I started with other topics related with location, as the distance from supermarkets, restaurants, banks and cultural life of Costa Teguise.

Once my list decreased,  checked out internal things wich are very important in these days as night and children security (on this topic my list decreased a lot), and swimming pools or not.

At this point, my check list included also other internal services like breakfast, bars, cleaning and amenities, including also something very important as reception service.

From my Costa Teguise list, checked out the five places remaining and visited "in person" just asking the recepcionist for further information as prices and availability.

I must tell that some of the places dissapointed me just for this one item in my list: customized attention, "personalized attention", that reduced my list to just two apartments complexes.

In 3 of them the recepcionists could’n talk in my language and in two of them I had to wait more than 15 minutes to be seen…

From the two places remaining in my list, I just decided to give the Nobel Prize to Apartamentos Nazaret because it was the only one that passed the full check list in all the aspects analyzed. One of the things that impacted me like a difference from the others checked, was just this kind of personalized attention received during my visit. Perfect english speaking girl providing me with a complete brochure including not only the internal amenities of the apartments and the place, also a global information about Costa Teguise.

After answering all my requirements with a perfect knowledge of her job, she gived me a nice unespected present: a beautiful stone wich is now in my desktop as a souvenir.

lanzarote apartmentsShe also provided me with the website address, in case I need further information wich is:

http://www.apartamentosnazaret.com

The phone number ( +34 ) 928 590416 - 590801 , Fax: + 34 928 590866 and E-mail: info@apartamentosnazaret.com on a nice card that also can be used as postcard of Costa Teguise.

Just a tip: is really useful to make this check list yourself before you rent an apartment in Lanzarote.

Lanzarote Direct owner properties for sale?

Investing in Lanzarote today is a good chance, property sales exploded down with the crisis and some bungalows, apartments and villas are really waiting for the lucky one.

Some of my readers asked me to publish a post about opportunities to avoid comissions.

I’ve been searching for some properties actually for sale directly by the owner like this villa in Famara, one of the last jewels of the island, built with the most traditional Cesar Manrique’s style:

Villa for sell in Famara

I’ve told you before about this villa at this post, but the good news is that the owner decided to make the price lower and is still available, stil on sale.

To make a visit, just contact Jack at the phone (+34) 669 039 668.

For Puerto Del Carmen Lovers, also is available a nice bungalow near to the beach, and also I’ve found other direct owner properties as a typical canarian style house with patio at Teguise Villa for the ones enjoying the quiet places, both reduced the price around a 30% lastly.

More flights from Cork to Lanzarote.

Flights to Lanzarote Air Lingus Good news for the southern Irish. Aer Lingus will add a new flight from Cork to
Lanzarote
starting in October. So from October 30, the flights Cork-Lanzarote will be operating Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. October is probably the best month for the weather in Lanzarote: warm but no too much, not  too windy and also good water temperatures for bath.

Well, when the climate change allows that…

The ticket is offered for 74 Euros between October 30 to January 11. With this new thursday flight, Aer Lingus will operate 3 weekly connections: Cork-Lanzarote, Dublin-Lanzarote, and Belfast-Lanzarote.

Almost the 50% of the Irish visiting Spain, stays in Lanzarote. Aproximately 200.000 per year.

¿Flying with this line to Lanzarote? ¿How is it?

Ferry Lanzarote Agadir, delayed again.

Ferry Navierta Armas

Well, yes, a new delay for the ferry Lanzarote Agadir. The ferry connection from Canary Islands to Morocco is still not possible. Now the Morocco’s Goverment asks a 300.000 Euros warranty to Naviera Armas for operating at the Morrocan ports. The line says is not necesary and not agreed to pay for the moment.

Touristic and commercial authorities says this negotiation will be probably done before this month ends…

Ok, think possitive! : one thing we can really learn here in Canary Islands is to have patience. After living some years here, you become for shure a Buda-Zen-Tao expert, and also you get some siesta-do-it-tomorrow expertise ¿what else?

There’s a lot of interests involved at these operation (both sides: Canarian and Moroccan) to force it to be done: the touristic, and also commercial and political. Almost the total of the Canarian companies operating in Morocco have their offices at Agadir and the business men from both locations has recently booked many meetings for cooperation projects. I will be on the spot to bring here to the blog the fresh news about this ferry. Stay connected.

WEATHER IN CANARY ISLANDS

I was making a research about the weather in Canary Islands, because this blog is viewed every day for people with weather interests.

All my readers knows that I’m a canary islander born, Irish family. As my family leaves here in Lanzarote for so many years, my Irish to write is not so good, but I like to write for Irish people visiting Canary Islands, and specially Lanzarote, because I can give you a different point of view from my canarian origin to my irish blood. So apologize my mistakes, in order to accept my good intentions.

So, here you are:

Weather in Lanzarote: as I wrote before, the weather is changing, spring has started with some clouds and windly. But still it keeps some patterns, like in June, July and August we will have a good summer with a lot of sun. If it rains, (with the climate changes, it can happens), it will be a warm rain to get a delicious sky shower at the beach. This summer also, with a new ferry, as you can see following the next link, we will be able to enjoy the possibility to travel from Lanzarote to Morocco. A new sensation, a different culture, and cheap, very cheap for Irish now.

Let’s go on:

Weather in Fuerteventura: In June, will give us an average between Max. 24ºC and min. 18ºC (max. 76.0ºF and min. 65.0ºF). July and August, just delicious. Fuerteventura has not high mountains, so the clouds just pass the island, have nothing to stop them for rain as it happens in the northern Canary Islands with higher hills as Tenerife. So in June is very rare to see some rain.

Weather in Gran Canaria: The big island, is also warm the most of the summer, but as it is so big and have different geographical zones, the weather can change from one coast to another at the same time. Let’s have an idea: general averages for the year are from 18ºC to 25ºC ( 65ºF to 76ºF ), and for June, July and August, we spect to have aprox. from 21ºC to 26ºC ( 70ºF to 79ºF ). But of course, if you are exposed  or not to sun, in the city or at the beach, the weather can change radically about the temperatures. A GOOD NEW: in June, July and August, never rains!!!!! Gran Canaria has the lowest rain averages for this months. From 0 to 8 mm.

Weather in Tenerife Island. Yes, the other big island of the canaries, is a weather mistery. You can find snow at the mountains as the Teide volcanoe top hill, at the same time your partner can be getiing toasted at the beach. The north and the south are completely different, an island to visit and explore. The weather for this summer will be grate at the south, and in the north you will enjoy warm temperatures also. The touristic areas for beach lovers are the south ones. But in the same day you can go faster from one side to another and get many different sensations. The north is for green lovers. Tropical, humid and rainy. The south is sunny and more dry.

I will keep other day with El Hierro, La Palma and La Gomera. I hope you can leave some comments about the weather in Canary Islands. A big hug.

Lanzarote weather this summer…

You would like to hear the fishermen and countrymen talking these days about Lanzarote weather.
They are really surprised about the changes. Their entirely lifes calculating by many "nature speech" signals and simphtoms what is going to happen in some hours or if tomorrow is going to rain.

But now, everithing has changed. The time for a high or a low tide, was for the Lanzarote’s fishermen something easy to calculate just giving a quick look to the sea. But now they are lost, they are starting to fail. If you are interested in global climate change, just have a chat with one of these men.
Lanzarote weather

Everybody was able to see a big family of whales visiting Lanzarote last week. Swimming all the coast from Puerto del Carmen to Puerto Calero. The fishermen said they are swimming so close to the coast to feed the family with the sardines, but is not the normal days for it. The men were not even ready, and the presence of the whales alerted the people to go fishing the sardines.

About the Lanzarote country, normal procedures for cultives are also changing, the spring shows rare behaviour with some extra winds and the countrymen says the flowers are starting to grow with a different time schemes as usual at this year’s winter and spring schedule.

These old fishermen and countrymen, ever bringing us these valuable knowledge from centuries and generations about the Lanzarote’s weather…

These daily information that we need to sail or take care of our Lanzarote´s gardens, were so easy to get just talking with this people at the beach or at their lands…we are now wondering where all these family technical treasures are gone.

Lanzarote to Agadir in Morocco

Filed under: Cool, Travel Web News

Ferry Naviera Armas  Well, these are grate news. Naviera Armas is planning to open a new   connection by ferry Lanzarote Agadir (Morocco). After the crash from the Naviera Armas ship " Assalama " wich was allowing the connection Fuerteventura -Tarfaya, this new ferry will give back the ilussions to the canarians to still have a ship going to Morocco from the islands.

It is also a nice way to visit Morocco with a car or a moto. Agadir is a beautiful place, where you can see many cultural events, you can book in all kind of hotels and accommodation facilities, enjoying a magic culture.

The ship going from Fuerteventura to Tarfaya, was always full and many canarians were planning to go this year, as many Irish, English and German people visiting Lanzarote  and Fuerteventura were interested in making this trip. Tarfaya is just a fishermen village with only one hotel, but with the connection with the ferry, some people was investing for the future touristic development. The canarian government, the Naviera Armas authorities and also the company that runs the Tarfaya’s port, are negociating to restore the connection Fuerteventura-Tarfaya as soon as posssible. Then, with two ferries to Morocco and back, will be interesting to make a trip to Morocco from Canary Islands, also a deal about the price: just around 50 Euro the ticket. I will post some news when the new ferry become available.

Now, is time for a pin. I will go for a walk and choose one of a random Irish pubs in Lanzarote
